Find your starving Crowd using Facebook

Find your starving crowd using Facebook

Dan Kennedy (  a man that has made nearly as much money for people on-line  than we have spend bailing out banks !! ) will tell you that 80% of  the success of any sales and marketing campaign is determined by the people you are targeting.

  1. Get the target audience wrong and your basically buggered.  :-(
  2. Get the target audience right and you can ( even with a terrible sales pitch or offer) sell something. :-)

So if audience selection is so critical how can you give yourself the best chance of getting this right ?

They say the easiest people to sell  to are your existing customers so the second easiest people to sell to might be people like your existing customers.

How can Facebook know if somebody is  a customer of yours ?

  1. You could upload your list of customer email addresses into Facebook
  2. You could tag visitors to certain pages on your site such as a thank you page on an ecommerce site or a thank you page when somebody registered for something on your site.

Once you have done 1 or 2 above Facebook will look at its existing membership and if it finds people who closely match your existing customers it will generate a list for you.

You will not be able to see the names of people on the list but you will see how many are on it.

You can now use this list as a target for your Facebook ads.

Really you should try this to see if it can help you find new customers.  If you have any questions drop me a line or add a comment below.
